Family owned and operated Six Paupers is the brainchild of Wilmington, Delaware natives Michael & Stephen Lucey.  The Lucey brothers first opened Dead Presidents Pub in Little Italy in 1997.  In 2004, after a few years of searching for the perfect spot for a new restaurant concept, construction was started at the site of the old Shields Lumber warehouse. 

Six Paupers focuses on sourcing the freshest ingredients from as close as possible, Six Paupers has built a reputation for providing great food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.  

After selling the wildly popular,  Dead Presidents Pub in 2009 the Lucey’s focused on opening Ulysses American Gastropub in 2011 in North Wilmington. 

Banquet facilities are available for business meetings, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners or any other social event in our private dining room with it’s own full service bar.
